This a course for parents of young children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (A.S.D) and those that have recently learned that their child is on the autistic spectrum. The course content is based on the needs of parents as evidenced and approved by Shine the autism charity. Families of those with an ASD experience many challenges and this practical based course aims to assist those who experience same, by providing them with relevant and current information. This programme is endorsed by ‘National Parents and Siblings Alliance’ and supported by Shine

Course Two:
Supporting your child with ASD in Primary School
Tues 6.30-8.30pm • Duration: 11 weeks
This a course for parents of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (A.S.D) who are attending Primary School. The key determinants of success for learners in the primary cycle with ASD are explored in this new programme which is endorsed by Shine –the autism charity and ‘National Parents and Siblings Alliance’. Parents will meet key professionals and other parents in a supportive learning environment, and position themselves to best support their child(ren) through the primary cycle.

This a course for those who are assisting children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (A.S.D) and those with an interest, that would like to further their knowledge. Course participants will have an opportunity to understand the learning profiles of children with A.S.D, and some of the support strategies & interventions used. This programme is endorsed by ‘National Parents and Siblings Alliance’ and supported by Shine – the Autism Charity.
